NUCA of NM and NM OSHA Alliance  

What Is the Alliance ?

The Alliance enables NUCA of NM members committed to workplace safety and health to collaborate with NM OSHA to prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace. The Alliance will work to educate and lead New Mexico’s employers and their employees in improving and advancing workplace safety and health.

Why Participate in an Alliance?

There are many benefits to participating in an Alliance with OSHA.

· Build trusting, cooperative relationships with NM OSHA

· Network with others committed to workplace safety and health

· Leverage resources to maximize worker safety and health protection

· Gain recognition as a proactive leader in safety and health

· Quality NMOSHA and NUCA authorized safety training at low   cost to the employer.

 

How does the Alliance Work? 

There are few formal requirements for the Alliance.  It is less structured than other cooperative agreements, and does not include an enforcement component.

· You must be a member in good standing with NUCA of NM; contractor or associate

How Much Does It Cost?

· $200 per year/company

 

What kind of training will my employees recieve? 

Training will be done in Spanish and English

· OSHA 10 Hour training tailored to your company needs; 2 days or over six month period.  Including:

  Introduction to OSHA

  Electrical

  Fall Protection

  Excavation

  Personal Protective and

  Lifesaving Equipment

  Materials Handling Storage,  Use and Disposal

        · Other topics covered

  Hazard Communication

  Confined Space Entry

  Tools – Hand and Power

  Lock out – Tag out

  Scaffolds

  CPR and First Aid

  Defensive Driving
